Roger and Stan advance

Roger and Stanislas Wawrinka advanced to the second round of the London Olympics thanks to a 6-7(5), 6-4, 6-4 victory over Kei Nishikori and Go Soeda of Japan.

The Swiss missed a total of four break chances in the opening set, but secured the second thanks to an early break. They managed just the same in the third set, not giving away the advantage of an early lead after a break and wrapping up the match upon the second match-ball after 2 hours and 16 minutes.

They will now play Israel's Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram.

Well played Roger & Stan. Congratulations!
Dpibles are always fun to watch due to the speed, but especially when you two guys are playing.
May God bless you in all your coming matches.
And I must add one thing: NEVER, NEVER take any lower ranking player for granted.... BUT YOU KNOW THAT... JUST A REMINDER......Good luck !!!!!

All the best for tomorrow Roger and Stan in your postponed dubs match, just hope to God it actually takes place!!! Lots of love and best wishes Rog for your singles against Denis, hope the bad twin turns up!! This tournament is turning into a nightmare and I can't understand why the ITF couldn't utilise all the available courts at Wimbledon in view of the crap summer we're having this year. GO ROGER and kick ass. xxxxxxx
