Toronto 2012

04.08.2012 | Tennis, Starseite 3

Dear fans

I am very disappointed that I have to withdraw from Toronto as I love the city and the Canadian fans are amazing. I have always enjoyed playing there but after a long stretch of tournaments, I will need some time to recover. I look forward to coming back to Canada next year.

Yours,

Roger

I hope that Nole doesn't win in Toronto and comeback number one again......

*Tuna* can't believe after your initial comment a few pages ago that you mentioned doping again: the system at the Olympics is the best it's ever been. Look, Roger is almost 8 yrs older than DP, almost 6 yrs older than AM. He has played a HUGE number of matches; a Wimb GS, back to No.1 and a Silver medal - that's SPECTACULAR. Andy played great and deserved his win. Rog looked happy with his Silver medal and so he should be.
What's more surprising is Delpo's win over Djoko, what happened there?

On grass. Simply impossible if Federer is Federer.

I hope so BOTING. But it is obvious that the result against Federer 6:2,6:1,6:4 is impossible. Something was wrong and I think that when you are 31 years old, 2 days are not enough to recover. He also played doubles. That is way I think Del Potro managed to recover. This result on the grass against the best player in history on that surface is impossible if the circumstances are normal. This was not normal. 7:6, 7:5,6:3 would be normal, but this isn't. And of course, 9 games ia a row for Murray

NO, Djokovic can't GAIN points in Canada as he's the defending Champ. and Rog. has less than 100 points at stake so at this point; without a title repeat for Djoker the gap between him and Roger's only going to INCREASE! ...It gets interesting in Cincy which's result determines the seeding for the Open although he would still be away from Nole.... C'MON ROG!!!! :-D

Q: If Djokovic wins Toronto 2012
would he regain No.1?

It's disappointing, but good fo our champion to be more fresh to the US OPEN. GRANDSLAMS ARE MORE IMPORTANT FOR YOU IN THIS STAGE OF YOUR GREAT CAREER. COME ON ROG.
