Semis against Stan
Roger notched up a 6-3, 7-6(4) victory against Mardy Fish at the Cincinnati Masters and will now play his friend and Olympic doubles partner Stanislas Wawrinka.
“Playing an American here in America, it's always special. It was pretty straightforward. Whoever was going to be more aggressive, serve more consistent, and then play maybe a tiny bit better from the baseline was probably going to win. I'm happy I was that guy tonight.”
Roger showed an excellent tennis-display, breaking Fish on the first occasion with three impressive winners. He swiped his entire serves without any problems, winning 93% of the points on his first serve. He secured one more break in the last game of the set to clearly book it 6-3. Fish raised his level of play in the second set, but Roger was finally able to click the set in the tie-break.
Next up is Stanislas Wawrinka who sent Milos Raonic home in three sets. Roger holds a 10-1 record against Stan.

Tomorrow final against Djokovic. I wish you best luck. Please take of you service, be strong, confident and focused in your objective. Come on Maestro, you are the best, show Nole who is the Nr. 1. Go, Go, Go for your 5th. Cincinnati trophy.
Good luck tomorrow against Nole!!
Congratulations! It was a wonderful match. Stan played very well, I don't think you can have much difficulties tomorrow, when you won this tough match! I agree with those fans who say that Stan improved his serve, his return, everything. But the King remains the King! Please show it tomorrow!
Hope you are healthy and fit enough for your next opponent!
Wish you all the best and good luck, dearest Roger!
Go, Roger, gooooooooooooooooo!
Love, Mimi
Seems like Stan has improved his serve speed, and the high kick serve to his opponent's left; he has also gotten his backhand stronger, and honed in the forehand cross court that curves to the front. The last one might have been learnt from Djokovic --- something for you and Annacone to plan the solution for.
My best wishes for today match against Wawrinka!!! All the best Ro!!! Goooo
