Cincinnati final

Roger defeated his friend Stanislas Wawrinka 7-6(4) and 6-3 at the Cincinnati Masters today.

Roger closed out the match by breaking Stan's final two service games. Roger was 0-for-8 previously in the match in break opportunities, while Wawrinka failed to convert either of the two break chances he had.

Roger and Djokovic will face each other for a 28th time, with our champ holding a 15-12 edge, even though Roger lost six of the last eight matchups. But Roger took the last meeting, a four-set victory on the way to his seventh Wimbledon title.

 

Thanks to today's victory, Roger already secured the number one spot in the world ranking until the end of the US Open.

CONGRATULATIONS, ROGER! I just can't believe you won so easily! This is wonderfull, really! Djokovich had no chance in front of you. He's been "thunderstrucked" by you, "thunder" Roger! I just love you, you really are the best tennis player of all times and you prove it again!
