Title no. 5 in Cincinnati!
19.08.2012 | Tennis, Starseite 3
Roger swept Novak Djokovic aside 6-0, 7-6 (7) today for a fifth title at the Cincinnati Masters. Roger has now also tied Rafael Nadal for the most Masters titles with 21.
"Breaking a record - always something special when that happens," Roger said.
Roger was extremely efficient today, making three out of his four break point opportunities in the opening set, not dropping a game himself. The second set was a closer issue, but Djokovic was unable to force a break point so the two took the set into a tiebreaker - with Roger claiming it nine points to seven.
This is a great boost for Roger ahead of the last grand slam of the season in the U.S. Open which starts on August 27th.

THE 8'TH POINT THAT YOU WON AGAINST DJOKOVIC IN THE TIE-BREAKER WAS YOUR 'KEY' TO SUCCESS - PLEASE PLAY THE SAME WAY AGAINST YOUR OPPONENTS IN CRITICAL SITUATIONS. IT IS THE OFF-GUARD, DISGUISE AND SURPRISE FACTOR THAT MAKES YOU A WINNER !!!
PLEAZZZZZZZZZZE, PLAY OFF-GUARD SHOTS AND DISGUISED SHOTS, PLEASE. YOUR GAME IS IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION NOW BUT IT NEEDS YOU TO STAY MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY TOUGH, AND TO YOUR ADVANTAGE, YOU BETTER PLAY OFF-GUARD SHOTS AND DISGUISED SHOTS, TAKE YOUR OPPONENT BY THE SURPRISE FACTOR. COME ON !!! WIN THE U.S.OPEN !!!
PLZZ, PLZZZ, PLZZZ, PLAY OFF-GUARD SHOTS LIKE YOU PLAYED IN THE SECOND SET TIE-BREAKER (POINT NO. 8) AGAINST DJOKOVIC. THAT'S YOUR FORMULA TO SUCCESS !!!!!! I MEAN, YOU CAN'T BE HITTING YOUR SHOTS ACROSS IN 'EXPECTED DIRECTIONS'. YOU BETTER PLAY DISGUISED SHOTS, SHOTS THAT WILL TAKE YOUR OPPONENT BY SURPRISE. THE SURPRISE FACTOR IS IMPORTANT TO YOUR BEAUTIFUL GAME. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, HIT SURPRISING OFF-GUARD SHOTS, WIN THE U.S.OPEN. PLZZZ!
Good luck at the US Open!
My Darling Rog, that WAS a Perfect start for the USO! ( I never thought Novak could lose a set in a 'Bagel'...lol ). Now enjoy your win with your three lovely girlies but remember to practise for next week's 'big show.' GOOD LUCK Sweet Heart!!!!
Love you always xoxo
