Title no. 5 in Cincinnati!

Roger swept Novak Djokovic aside 6-0, 7-6 (7) today for a fifth title at the Cincinnati Masters. Roger has now also tied Rafael Nadal for the most Masters titles with 21.

"Breaking a record - always something special when that happens," Roger said.

Roger was extremely efficient today, making three out of his four break point opportunities in the opening set, not dropping a game himself. The second set was a closer issue, but Djokovic was unable to force a break point so the two took the set into a tiebreaker - with Roger claiming it nine points to seven.

This is a great boost for Roger ahead of the last grand slam of the season in the U.S. Open which starts on August 27th.

Congratulations for getting the fifth Cincy title and already sixth title in 2012! What a great work! It was a brilliant, breath-taking match against Novak. I was glued to TV and just wows! Indeed nobody plays better than you.
You beat all the silly commentors who pretend to know better.
I am so happy and proud to be one of your fans.

Commentators, bookies had predicted Novak's victory. Wrong.
I do not know what anticipate for the next tournament, but I hope that you'll continue with victories and titles, starting with the U.S. Open title.

Congrats Roger on your 5th title in Cincinnati and 21st Masters title and counting. You were awesome, brilliant, spectacular this week. Beating Novak 6-0 is no joke and you proved why you are and always will be no. 1. I have seen the match a couple of times and will be watching it agan. Can't get enough of the 6-0 thrashing you gave to Novak. Get some well deserved rest before the US Open. All the very best champ. You are always in my prayers.

Congrats what a week you have ha if you can keep the up there will be no stopping you at the US Open.
I have just watched all your matches again for this week and put them on to DVD you are amazing just keep going.

I am so very very proud of you AND to be your fan for all of these years.

The commentating on the whole was woeful--they should give up predicting who is going to win--they were wrong AGAIN today--thank goodness!
