In round three with ease
31.08.2012 | Tennis, Starseite 1
Roger cruised into round three at the US Open with a very clear 6-2, 6-3, 6-2 victory over Germany's Bjorn Phau today.
“It was a great match for me,” Roger said after the match. “Bjorn had some incredible shot-making."
Top-seeded Roger needed only 90 minutes to close out the match and showed glimpse of his abilities to outclass Phau in their fourth encounter. He finished with 44 winners to 16 for his overmatched opponent and also with 15 aces.
Roger will play Spain's Fernando Verdasco in the third round on Saturday and said: "The next match with Verdasco will be another tough one. He’s a guy who has been around a long time and had some big wins. He’s a lefty, so that makes things different.”

Nice to see you cruising through, safely, but the DANGER awaits you, for sure!!! You better take one match at a time, as if you are playing the final match. Cool mind, proper strategy, properly balanced game, well experimented, well executed, well, well, keep the serve perfect !!! Good Luck !!!
In the next round also you dominate, and please play comfortably match, not tense.
Good fight!! Go, Roger.
I always cheer you.
Next match with Verdasco will be less easier with the hot weather in New York
But your level of tennis is good enough to win the match.
