Roger walks into last eight

Roger advanced into his 34th consecutive Grand Slam quarter-final today as Mardy Fish had to withdraw from their US Open match due to health issues. Fish has been experiencing heart-problems and had already taken a two-month break from the Tour beginning of this year.

The walkover stretched Roger's record for quarter-final Grand Slam appearances in the Open era to 38, three short of the record 41 by Jimmy Connors.

Roger will play his quarter-final against Tomas Berdych on Wednesday. Our champion has won 11 of their 15 encounters so far.

Sorry you lost, Rog. It just seemed not your day from the beginning. You looked distracted. By the time you got your focus, it was too late. Anyway, you still retain #1 regardless of the results. Well Roger: though luck, it seems it is better to avoid walkovers for you, someone so perfect is better when the machine is always working. The goos news is that team switzerland will enjoy you in the best condition and you will be back in the world group next year. this year was the medal, next year it will be the davis crown. Now is time to push forward, conquer the year-end leg and next year Davis cup and Try again to get the year slam,there will ba many points to defend but you can.

hi roger.im so sad .im really crying 4 u beacause i love u so much.i cant do any thing beacaus eim so nerveus.just cigarette smoking and my hands are shaking.u play so bad roger i cant belive this.very bad match...forget this take a good rest and start strong twice just last year.win all remaining tornement roger please do this for ur fans take good rest and practice hard and focus on ur unforced errors.good luck i love u

Nose si son las malas condiciones en NY, pero un campeón vence eso. estoy muy molesta y me imagino que tú estas peor. Ahora sólo queda corregir errores, para eso esta tu entrenador y resurgir nuevamente, te espera una gran temporada.ya no me importa quien gane el US OPEN, tal vez se lo merezca Ferrer u otro, menos Andy, Tomas, Nole o Juan Martín. Si te digo que no te preocupes, estaría mintiendo y no quiero hacer eso. soy tu fan y debo decir la verdad y no mentirte para que te sientas mejor.

que te puedo decir, es una gran pena porque tú perdiste el partido, te desenfocaste, mandaste la pelota a las tribunas con tu derecha, tus saques fueron malos, no tenías actitud, te dejaste quebrar muchas veces, ya no se cuantas. Que desilusión, de verdad; pense que el título era tuyo.El que estaba en la cancha no eras tú y berdych no fue demasiado bueno, fuiste tu quien fallaste. lo digo con el ánimo de que corrijas esos errores. tienes mucho que defender de ahora en adelan
