Roger walks into last eight
03.09.2012 | Tennis, Starseite 1
Roger advanced into his 34th consecutive Grand Slam quarter-final today as Mardy Fish had to withdraw from their US Open match due to health issues. Fish has been experiencing heart-problems and had already taken a two-month break from the Tour beginning of this year.
The walkover stretched Roger's record for quarter-final Grand Slam appearances in the Open era to 38, three short of the record 41 by Jimmy Connors.
Roger will play his quarter-final against Tomas Berdych on Wednesday. Our champion has won 11 of their 15 encounters so far.

come out winning
do not let crowd, umpire, hawk eye,
anything anyone get on you
Berdychs anticis, just play your game extra play
do not do anything fancy just play your on game
My wishes are with you.
Roger, you can do it.
Cheers.
You need to play an aggressive game against Berdych, please make full use of your serve and forehand ,you will beat him
Wish you all the best
Congratulations for your record for quater-final GS appearances 38 times. Another great record! But you probably wanted to make this record by actually winning over Fish.
So sorry about Fish. I hope he will recover quickly and come back.
Rest well and best of luck against Tomas tomorrow. I will keep sending my very best of positive energy.
