Roger out in quarters

06.09.2012 | Tennis, Starseite 2

Roger could not make it past Tomas Berdych in the quarters of the US Open, losing 6-7(1), 4-6, 6-3, 3-6 to the world number 7.

"So many moments, I thought, ‘Man, it’s just not happening for me,'" Roger said afterwards. "It was just a very disappointing match for me."

Berdych absolutely controlled the opening-set tiebreaker and then he broke to begin the second set. Roger fought back in the third set and finally found his rhythm. The critical point came late in the fourth set: Berdych's broke Roger to take a 5-3 lead. At that point, all Berdych had to do was hold serve - and he did.

For the first time since 2003, Roger is not going to participate in the U.S. Open semifinals. Still, he will remain world no. 1 until after the US Open.

Many of Rpgere's fans/supporters throughout the world world would agree with your comments.
The rubbish/crap written/said about this great man is mind boggling to say the least.
We are all individuals born with our own genes some are geniuses such as Roger
--why of why should people go on and on about age is beyond me. Who cares whether one is 20 or 120 years of age, Who is ANYONE to say that Roger, or indeed anyone else is not able perform as well because

he rog...i was reading some of these articles on you after this loss of urs and some of the writing was just bullshit...i dnt know why they go after u after each loss and how much they bring ur "age factor"...someone shud remind them that u r the most consistent player of past 1 year...these people did not tell you to start playing tennis so how could they tell u to stop it....only you are the one who will decide it and im damn sure that u will play atleast 5-6 years more of the highest level...

1-Hello Roger How are you? Don't be sad and disappointed my beautiful wonderful love let it go. You have been playing amazing and that is still standing. It is completely understandable this happens, you are not a machine and certainly the days off didn't help. But anyway you hit some unbelievable shots what an amazing stretching! You really had some great matches and don't worry you'll get it next year and the next time you'll put this guy back on his place!

Expect the unexpected and be comfortable with it. Ask yourself for new solutions, and then let go so they can gestate within you.
