Roger-Stan lose in doubles

Roger and Stan Wawrinka were defeated by Robin Haase and Jean-Julien Rojer 6-4, 6-2, 5-7 and 6-3 in the doubles of the Davis Cup World Group playoff.

Switzerland thus only leads by one point (2-1) in the rubber against the Netherlands. The Dutch pair dominated the Swiss team in the first two sets before Roger and Stan rallied to take the third on the outdoor clay court. Haase and Rojer broke Roger's serve in the seventh game of the fourth set and broke Wawrinka to seal the match.

Roger will play Haase in reverse singles on Sunday and Stan takes on Thiemo de Bakker in the final match.

I know you lost but my o my you really had the best shot of the day when you and Stan won the third set. What a brilliant point when you returned a good volley by the Dutch. You somehow got the ball back into play with not much distance between the ball and the net. For these shots I would like to thank you for starting to play tennis :-) WHAT A SHOTTTTTT!!!!!!!!

I hope you and Stan win tomorrow although I'm Dutch.

I'm Dutch and supported you Roger, I love you :). I was on the tournament today with my cousin. We really enjoyed it, with seeing you playing, it was the first time to see you live :). The Dutch fans looked at us when we called your name. We didn't cared at all. We love you forever Roger :). You are in our heart forever Roger.

I know that a lot of people only came because they wanted to see you. Everybody wants to see you. And everybody loves to see you play. Because it's beautiful to see. Show us your beauty tomorrow. I ran into so many fans again yesterday and today. Believe me, I am not the only one who wants you to win instead of Haase, I'm just one of the few who shouts out your name out loud.......

And don't let the noise of the dutch fans fool you! There are a lot of Roger-fans in the crowd, but it's tradition to shout for Holland at the Davis Cup. I don't, but everybody looks at me funny when I shout out your name because I'm dutch! :-) I don't care, I still will root for you anyday! Even if it's against my own country......

Dear Roger,
loved seeing you today with my three boys. We hated to see you loose, especially my eldest. He held up his banner with a great picture of you. I took that picture of you at the ABN AMRO this year and made a banner of it. Of course we really wanted you to win today. He was really sad you lost. I was too, but now at least I know for sure you are going to play tomorrow. Play your best but be careful with your back! Love you! You're the best!

So i could see yesterday, you are realy enjoying youself. Its nice having you here, rog. It was great out there, despite the weather. but yeh we were dancing in the rain.:) Loud crowd isn't it, but fun loud. I liked the atmosfeer, the fun music...but to be honest it takes a lot of energy of me and today i realy had to take it easy and calm. Our team won today, you and stan did yesterday, im curious about tommorow.yours or ours, but the main thing must be enjoying. xx
