Roger-Stan lose in doubles

Roger and Stan Wawrinka were defeated by Robin Haase and Jean-Julien Rojer 6-4, 6-2, 5-7 and 6-3 in the doubles of the Davis Cup World Group playoff.

Switzerland thus only leads by one point (2-1) in the rubber against the Netherlands. The Dutch pair dominated the Swiss team in the first two sets before Roger and Stan rallied to take the third on the outdoor clay court. Haase and Rojer broke Roger's serve in the seventh game of the fourth set and broke Wawrinka to seal the match.

Roger will play Haase in reverse singles on Sunday and Stan takes on Thiemo de Bakker in the final match.

HEARTOFTHEMATTER I was just about to apologise and that yes at the end of the day it's the play that matters of course but Roger takes pride too in his appearance! I didn't mean to cause offence. Roger is my true hero!

Wish you better going for tomorrow! It will be singles, so it is a different "mix". P.S***FANCYFREE, what's with the obession with clothing? I like what they are wearing! And for that matter, anything they are wearing. It's the tennis, not the clothes. Swiss players, ROGER and WAWRINKA, come down on your opponents like a storm, from above! Looking forward to watching two cracking, successful matches tomorrow . Both Stan and Roger played some wonderful tennis today, not a good result but it was a cracking match and a lot tighter than perhaps the scores suggest! Go on Roger, go on Stan, you both can win tomorrow and I for one will enjoy every moment. Hopp Suisse! Allez!
