Roger and Stan Wawrinka were defeated by Robin Haase and Jean-Julien Rojer 6-4, 6-2, 5-7 and 6-3 in the doubles of the Davis Cup World Group playoff.

Switzerland thus only leads by one point (2-1) in the rubber against the Netherlands. The Dutch pair dominated the Swiss team in the first two sets before Roger and Stan rallied to take the third on the outdoor clay court. Haase and Rojer broke Roger's serve in the seventh game of the fourth set and broke Wawrinka to seal the match.

Roger will play Haase in reverse singles on Sunday and Stan takes on Thiemo de Bakker in the final match.
