Roger beats Haase to secure |Swiss Davis Cup win

Roger beat Robin Haase 6-1, 6-4, 6-4 today to clinch Switzerland's victory against the Netherlands in their Davis Cup World Group playoff.

"I felt like I was always somewhat in control," Roger said after the match. Our champ was rarely troubled by the 50th-ranked Haase on the temporary clay court in Amsterdam. After only a few minutes, Roger already had jumped to a 3-0 lead. In the next two sets, he broke very early and sealed the victory and his team's return to the World Group next year after only 97 minutes.

Well done Champ by putting Switzerland into World Group! Rest well and come back strong for Shanghai. You sure have a good shot at Shanghai and London. Beware of your rivals gearing up for the WTF. So stay healthy and be well prepared. Just focus on Shanghai & London. You can skip the remaining. Take care!

Great match Roger, had the chance to watch the 40-0 of the last game and it was just a thing of beauty. Hopefully you keep playing for switzerland and you get the chance of winning Davis Cup. Lots of luck in Shangai, now you can rest for a couple of weeks and then it is time to suit up as the G.O.A.T again and finish undefeated to silence everyone yet again. Time to beat andy,Isner, Rafa, Djoko, Berdych and everyone else, avenge defeats and conquer titles. Always Cheering.
