Roger wins Swiss encounter

Roger won his second match at the Shanghai Rolex Masters against his friend Stanislas Wawrinka 4-6, 7-6, 6-0. The victory means that Roger has now secured his 300th week as world no. 1!

Wawrinka had a better start into the match, capturing the first set. The second set proved a tough fight between the two friends, with Roger eventually winning the tie-breaker. In the third set, Wawrinka was unable to match Roger's game.

With today's victory, Roger set a new milestone in tennis history: he will be celebrating his 300th week as world no. 1 on Monday.

On Friday, Roger will meet Croatia's Marin Cilic (ATP 16) in the quarter final. Roger leads the head-to-head 3-0.

Hi Roger Many congratulations on your fine achievement of 300 weeks at no 1. I do hope it carries on and that you go all the way in Shanghai. Cilic is a very good player though and is a dangerous opponent.

Hi Rog, It was a tough match in the beginning against your friend Stan, and disappointing for Stan, but we are here for you, and you did it, you won that special match which takes you into your 300th week as world number 1, what an achievment!!, great respect as you deserve it, CONGRADULATIONS!!!. Now keep moving ahead, good luck against Marin Cilic. Take care.

& Davis Cup team mates--some ways difficult for both of you but other ways rather nice that you shared this memorable match/day.
Congratulations once again to yourself,parents, Mirka and all of your wonderful team.
Nearly forgot as usual loved your interviews thank you.
Hopefully media,commentators and critics read them and thus learn a few things about playing sport and why one plays.
Roger you say that a happy wife is important-- of course happy wife happy life.

What a wonderful achievement 300 weeks as the world's no 1 male tennis player .As Rod Laver said 'you are uncanny--the way that you play tennis,handle enormous pressure and as we all know, remain a wonderful humble human being.
Congratulations on reaching this wonderful milestone--we thoroughly enjoyed the match some great tennis and even though Stan faded in the 3rd set, I could not think of a better player to play against you in this historic match--both Swiss friends

Dear Roger, you should be concentrated, keep going till the end of the season! 300 weeks is a milestone, you reached successfully! I believe you have higher goal to go for!!
