Out against Murray

Roger was defeated 4-6, 4-6 by Andy Murray in the semis of the Shanghai Masters today.

Roger had trouble with his serve on numerous occasions today, committing three successive double faults in the middle of the opening set. He did manage a re-break to make up for the loss of his opening serve to level at 1-1, but Murray secured another break to take a 3-2 lead which proved enough to capture the first set. The second set started with a seemingly interminable opening game (18 minutes). Murray scored the first break - after a 40-0 lead on Roger's serve - to again take a 3-2 lead and finally the match.

Murray and Djokovic will play each other in tomorrow's final.

Dear Rogi, not your day today but it was so great that you went to Shanghai so that your many fans there had a chance to see you. Hi Roger, I wonder given your super packed days, whether you are able to catch some of these comments.
I admire you very much and believe that you deal with your losses much better than us, your fans.
Clearly if you play your best, you'll beat them any day. Radek Stepanek had so much success coming to the net against Murray and i was hoping that you would serve and volley and chip & charge more to throw Andy off his base line game.
I hope you'll do that for the Basel final, Best wishes!

Roger: Bad luck today, murray was definetly in the zone and it became to much of a climb for you, even though you lost, yoy gave the best shot in the match, as usual.I know you will take this defeat as a learning experience and as fre for your engine, now you got more experience against Murray and i am sure it will came in handy in the next three tournaments where you will most likely face him.
We will be cheering for you and we will be with you when you recalim the next 3000 points by year end

You have lost the match... Bad moment, but tiny moment you and we must quickly forget about, because you played and won so gorgeously all along the year, because you achieved all your goals : 17th GS, 7th Wimby, Olympic medal, return to #1 and now counting 300weeks ! I'm sure you are already turned to Basel, Paris and London. We, yours fans, too.
