BNP Paribas Masters

30.10.2012 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Dear Fans

I am disappointed I had to pull out of Paris as I really wanted to defend my title as I had such great memories from last year but I need to address a few little injuries so that I am able to compete next week in London at the ATP World Tour Finals.

See you soon,
Roger

Hope you feeling better now after a 6days rest. I think today the draw for WTF will be declared...

Also, good to read the confirmation that you will surely end 2012 as # 2.

Hello Roger,
My wife Karen and I are huge fans. We never really watched Tennis very much until you came on the scene. Your game is impeccable and we love watching your movement. Very Baryshnikov-like. Your family looks very nice. The support you have with Father, Mother, Mirka, and now your two little girls who are a nice cross between you Roger, and your wife. Missed you in Paris.....Querry beating Djokovic was surprising. Said enough, feel better and get back feeling well.

Roger, it is good decision to skip Paris, I know basel for u is the most emotional n u care the most, coz is u home town n u work as ball boy there, there is stress playing at Basel, that why u did no play u best tennis at basel, hope u play u best tennis at world tour at London,tq

I agree with MOEBABY. Even before Basel, Roger already said that to end the year as No.1 was out of his reach. But 302 weeks as No.1 is a lifetime best which no one can take away from him, he is one of very few who had YE No.1 consecutively... Good luck in London, Rog . Shine your brightest!!! We love you.

I think we all understand, Roger. Like you said, it's just too much... 3 wks in a row playing events at the end of a long season. It's best that you took this decision. Although you wanted to defend your title in Paris, your body simply told you something else. I like that you know yourself so well and that you listen when your body & mind tell you things!

Ready to watch you play in London! Hope the bit of rest will be just the thing you needed to feel & play great at the O2.

Cheers!
