BNP Paribas Masters

30.10.2012 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Dear Fans

I am disappointed I had to pull out of Paris as I really wanted to defend my title as I had such great memories from last year but I need to address a few little injuries so that I am able to compete next week in London at the ATP World Tour Finals.

See you soon,
Roger

Sorry not to see you playing there but absolutely understood the need for you to get yourself in good shape - physically and with the preparation - to be able to properly defend your WTF title. You are a champion both on and off the tennis courts. Love always, xxxxxxxxx

Hope to see you in the best form at O2 in London and I am sure that you will end this year as No.1

It's okay.
Season is long and hard, and you need a rest.

Once again see Roger know how to make good decisions. We see what happened to Novak, Andy , Del Porto in Paris. I certainly dislike the words 'stunned' 'biggest upset' happened to Roger.
All the best for world tour final. Your newest ad with Credit Suisse was funny.

roger didn't blow it. he probably would have injured himself more if he had played paris. then he would have been in no shape for the WTF. all the guys lost early i think to do what roger had sense enough to do in the 1st place.-- REST FOR THE WTF!!!. murray, djokovic, delpo, bryan bros all lost early. roger is the best at knowing when he needs to rest. that is why he stays without major injuries. i think it's no coincidence the big guns are out of paris.

FEDERATORBKLYN. You don't know what you are talking about. Roger, as he has said on the news, was not playing at 100% because of small injuries which he was smart enough to take time to address by bowing out of Paris, unlike Murray, Djokovic and DelPotro who played anyway but performed badly. His health is more important to him than maintaining the #1 position. He regained #1 as he aspired to, worked hard doing it, plus broke another record in the process. We love you Roger.Good Luck in London

Oh my dear Roger, I felt a little sad because you are not present in Paris this week, but no matter, I prefer you be healthy and you are 100% prepared. I hope this little rest help you to be ready to have a great tournament, the last of this year. There will be many people who criticize you for your decision, some will say good things, some bad things ... Ultimately only you and your team know what really suits you and I support you in whatever you decide although maybe I do not like. Miss you
