Roger makes winning start
Roger opened his quest for a seventh season-ending tour title, looking like the man to beat again. The Champ lost only eight points on his serve under the roof of the O2 Arena while converting four of his nine break points in the event that features the top eight players in the world and going on to win 6-3,6-1."I still had some little things I had to work through the last couple of days. Really since yesterday, I feel fine," Roger said."It's my third trip to London this year. The other two were pretty good and I hope something similar is going to happen this week. It’s a great atmosphere, I’m happy I played so well because Janko’s a great player also. I had a great year and great summer, I gave everything I had and it worked. It was a great season but its not over yet - I hope I can keep it up here. There are many things I cannot achieve any more as I cant go back in time, I’m happy with how my career has gone. You only have one chance and I think I am making the most out of it but hopefully I have more left in the tank".
Roger had won all five of his previous meetings with Tipsarevic and, with the Serb having no impact on his opponent's serve, the first set was over in 30 minutes.Tipsarevic staved off two break points in the third game of the second set, but Roger kept dictating play from the baseline and he finally induced a miscued forehand from the Serb to break for a 2-1 lead.Scenting blood, our Champ delivered the killer blow with a blazing forehand for another break that ended any hopes of a Tipsarevic revival. The 31-year-old already has a record six titles in this season-ending event after winning the tournament for the last two years and he looks in the mood to complete a hat-trick on the evidence of this emphatic Group B victory over the Serbian eighth seed in just one hour and eight minutes.

Congratulations on your two very important awards! You deserve them.
I hope you will be healthy and fit enough for your match vs Ferrer. He is a tough opponent, honestly, all of them are, because they are top ranked tennis players! No match is an easy one in London 02 Arena.
I wish you all the best and good luck dearest Roger!
Go, Roger, gooooooooooooooo!
Love, Mimi

A lot of my friends think I am not patriotic as I don't want murray to win, I don't see it that way, I support the best player with the best attitude as do many others and it's time the BBC took off their blinkers.

& yes, sad, we couldn't see it live. any how, so happy for Roger... Allez :)))))
Vamos, Roger a gana
