Swiss Athlete of the Year 2012

Roger has been elected Swiss Athlete of the Year 2012 at the Credit Suisse Sports Awards gala. It is already the fifth award for Roger after having won it in 2003, 2004, 2006 and 2007.

"There is nothing more wonderful than receiving standing ovations in Switzerland. I do hope I can continue to spark emotions," Roger said to a thrilled audience.

It was the first time since 2005 that he was able to personally attend the gala as Switzerland was an ideal stop-over between the Gillette Federer Tour through South America and his next stop Dubai.

Congrats, Roger!
It's been a good year and I hope 2013 will at least as good as 2012 if not better.
Glad to hear you plan on playing professional tennis through 2016. It is a joy to see/watch you playing this wonderful sport.

Hi Roger. Congratulations. You totally deserve is. Just like Holland, Zwitserland is a small country and you are the most famous export product they have. You show your country and the kids that you can be very succesfull by playing a sport. Oh, you looked so handsome and yes, very skinny. What is about that Roger? Anyways, have a good vacation with Mirka, the twins, your parents and the rest of your family. Merry Xmas, Happy New Year and practise a lot for 2013. Because that will be your year!!
