Australian Open: the draw

11.01.2013 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Next week, Roger will start his quest for a fifth title at the Australian Open in Melbourne. The draw results are now out and Roger got a though one.

Roger will play in the first round on Monday or Tuesday against France's Benoît Paire. In the second round our champ could face Nikolay Davydenko (Russia/ATP 40).

In the next round a meeting with the Australian talent Bernard Tomic (64) could be possible. Potential opponents in a quarter- final are Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (ATP 8) or Richard Gasquet (ATP 10). In the semifinals, Roger could play Andy Murray, who won the last Grand Slam tournament in New York in September.

And after you win AO 2013, if anyone (commentators/critics) has the guts to say that you won because you had an easy draw .............. well I'll ........... them !!!

Talk about a tough draw !!! Why always you Roger? Why do you always get a tough draw? So unfair, but thats life.

Even so, you don't do easy. Easy is to easy for you. You have to have it difficult. You like the pressure, the exitement and the win.

So good luck. Just take it one match at the time. Your millions of fans believe in you and know that you will lift your 18th trophy.

I love you and I believe in you that you can do it !!!

Your fan Kemna

What a bloody difficult draw! A minefield really - Paire, Davydenko, Tomic - you'll beat them all but it must be mentally tough to have one unpredictable match after another. Best of luck - the gods will smile

I think Novack and Any Murray were given very easy draw. What on earth would world number 2 and 3 be in the same draw. I would think the Andy should be in Novak's draw in the semis', I think that Australia wants Novak and Andy in the final and not Roger. I am very upset with the draw. I hope roger will prevail this. What a rubbish draw. Anyway whatever the case may be. I wish you the best King of Tennis. Do your best as always
