Roger through in three sets

Roger advanced to the fourth round of the Australian Open today with a 6-4, 7-6(5), 6-1 win over Australia's Bernard Tomic.

Roger managed to dominate the much-hyped clash over most parts, breaking Tomic in the first game of the match and ending it with a monster serve. It got a bit tight for Roger in the tie-break in the second set as his opponent came within two points of snatching the set, but our champ saw off the challenge and took the set by winning all of the following points in the tie-breaker from that moment on.

Roger will play Milos Raonic in the next round as he bids for an 18th grand slam title and fifth at Melbourne Park.

Beautiful match, great tennis from both of you, but especially you. No wonder half the world rants and raves when they watch you! It's like watching the moving Arts, fluid poetry, grace and beauty in motion... I outdid myself today:)

Bravo, Roger! I was lucky to see you last night, and again, today. Last night I was annoyed because they (espn) switced to other games too much! It's too much: lower level players, who are from English speaking countries, too! And in the middle of your match! You were outstanding, and thought Raonic wants to play on "his own terms" impose yourself on the game, and turn his strengths into weaknesses. Wonderful experience: flying excellence, display of the best! Luck, and Godspeed!

Classy display - a pleasure to watch - perfect scheduled for my croissants with caffè macchiato.

Love your T-shirt but would prefer your grey/black shoes (don't like the pink laces). Anyways, all that is better than Tomic's Boxer shorts... hi hi.

There was never any doubt that fed was going to get more crowd support than tomic last night. It was great seeing ur class outshine a cocky tomic. Good luck with raonic Tom make sure u use all ur break points. Fed the best.
