Roger through in three sets

Roger advanced to the fourth round of the Australian Open today with a 6-4, 7-6(5), 6-1 win over Australia's Bernard Tomic.

Roger managed to dominate the much-hyped clash over most parts, breaking Tomic in the first game of the match and ending it with a monster serve. It got a bit tight for Roger in the tie-break in the second set as his opponent came within two points of snatching the set, but our champ saw off the challenge and took the set by winning all of the following points in the tie-breaker from that moment on.

Roger will play Milos Raonic in the next round as he bids for an 18th grand slam title and fifth at Melbourne Park.

I totally enjoyed the match! Tomic is 10 years younger. The next opponent Raonic is also 10 years younger. They are the third generations down from Federer! Nadal-Djoko-Murray are the second generation. It is exciting to see the Gold Era filled with well-rounded players with wide range of ages.

Roger you played really well especially in 1st and third set tight 2nd set but you played crucial points very well. Good luck for next match against raonic i hope you will handle this challenge with ease

Great win against Tomic , Roger! Note to youngsters out there: Know your place!!! I'm going to sit back now and watch the replay since I didn't get to see the match this morning. I'll be watching wih a smirk on my face all the way through. Keep going Maestro...you can do it !

Great speed Roger, that backhand on the second set was outworldly, now the thing keeps on getting hard, another hard hitter like Raonic, the key will be established on how fast you manage his serve, please do not loose focus at all and I think you will get through, you are certainly playing amazing Tennis and showing great mental toughness. The hard tests that you are passing through are until now more beneficial than problematic since you are keeping focus and playing like the GOAT. Keep It up
