Out against Murray

25.01.2013 | Tennis, Starseite 2

Yet another scintillating, exciting and very brave game from the racquet of our Roger – unfortunately this time the result could not match his tennis. He has lost to Andy Murray 4-6, 7-6(5), 3-6, 7-6(2), 2-6 in an absorbing and enthralling game of tennis.

This time it did not look as though Murray would be the loser right from the start of the first set which he took comfortably 6-4. Having said that our champ made him fight hard for his victory by taking the 2nd and 4th sets with tiebreaks. After a really hard fought battle with Murray dominating most of the match it was only our Roger’s brilliance that kept him alive – that and an indomitable spirit that refuses to give in when most other players would be swamped. By the 5th set though it seemed our champ had given his all and Murray took only 35 minutes from a 4 hour match to close out the final set 6-2.  From the cheering during the match it seemed at times as though he was playing the match in Basel and not in Melbourne plus Roger was given a standing ovation when he left the court. Murray now faces Djokovic in the final on Sunday.

You are a kind person and thin that these players know who the KING is! No, they don't! They imagine (NDj, AM) they are the best! Especially when they beat Roger! Do you see there faces? Awful, terrible! That's why I can't stand them and a few others!
But Roger is really the KING of tennis, his tennis is magical!
Wish you all the best and good luck dearest Roger!
Go, Roger, beat them all, they deserve it!
Love, Mimi

don´t worry, Mr Boting Boateng is just bored and obvoisly in the wrong forum. We all here know that RF is the King and little Djokovic knows that, too and he will see. There´re gonna come other surfaces which are too fast for little ripping-off-his shirt-Djokov as if he is Ronaldo;-) Have a nice evening, C.

Boting, This website is aimed to encourage Roger. Okay maybe disloyal was the wrong word but your comments did Roger a disservice in its negativity which I am sure you didn't mean! Have a good evening!

dear rog, congrats on a great run at the AO! would have loved to see you make another final, lift the cup for the 5th time, but i am proud to be your fan! you showed such grit, heart, fight and emotion! you proved with your strong efforts, after all these years, you have determination, calm intensity and an underrated defense which pushes the world's best to the limits. you didn't have your A game and aces, but it still took andy 5 sets to win. looking forward to more RF wins in 2013!

Dear Roger
I agree with some fans who mentioned the unfair draw! But, inspite of thst you did a great job at AO! At least you retained your points in SF! Novak is not as hard to beat! You need only a good serve!
I can't understand you at all! You seem to be a tennis exoert and write such things!! You prognose................
Roger, dear, thank you for the most beautiful tennis you play! What a boring match today (of course I was not watching, why should I?) Rest well Rog
Love, M
