Roger visits project in |South Africa

19.02.2013 | Foundation, Starseite 3

Roger, in his capacity as President of the Roger Federer Foundation, and his mother Lynette visited the Hlukani and Govhu crèches in the Limpopo Province of South Africa today. They were given a warm reception by the children, parents, caregivers and official representatives from various authorities. The Roger Federer Foundation has partnered the locally organized READ Educational Trust since 2010. The aim of the Trust is to promote good quality education in 40 crèches for children between 4-6 years old situated in rural and remote areas in Northern Limpopo. During his visit Roger learned all about the current curriculum and saw for himself the children’s daily activities.

so sweet and so inspirational!!! I was moved to tears....
I can't think of a better way to do something for others and to refresh for Rog' day-time job.....and nice sparring partners those children are!!! :-)
Not simply the best tennis player of all time but, what's more, a true accomplished human being.
God Bless you Roger, your wonderful family and all those great people who help you in your projects all around the world :-X
Take care

Wow Roger, when everybody is playing matches or practising for the upcoming tour, you are in Africa to give back through your foundation.
You are so great, giving time to the people who deserve it the most.
Love and respect you forever, Roger. I love you so much, your fan Kemna

I can only play a little bit of tennis said the maestro, jaaaa. What a great job, i think this is more important than trainings, knowing you have a set of fans that need a lot of things but also get a bnrighter day with your smile, tennis greatness and victories. Thank you for being such and example, congrats.
