Roger visits project in |South Africa

19.02.2013 | Foundation, Starseite 3

Roger, in his capacity as President of the Roger Federer Foundation, and his mother Lynette visited the Hlukani and Govhu crèches in the Limpopo Province of South Africa today. They were given a warm reception by the children, parents, caregivers and official representatives from various authorities. The Roger Federer Foundation has partnered the locally organized READ Educational Trust since 2010. The aim of the Trust is to promote good quality education in 40 crèches for children between 4-6 years old situated in rural and remote areas in Northern Limpopo. During his visit Roger learned all about the current curriculum and saw for himself the children’s daily activities.

Hi Roger
Indisputable and distinguished as your tennis legacy will be,so will a legacy of service to others to make indelible differences for the better in their lives and futures. It was nice to see that you were happy with your visit and pleased with the progressing work of your foundation.
Its nice also to watch you, anytime, anywhere, enjoying 'playing' with guys a mite taller than those little persons in the video-but no charming tutorial for the big ones!-so,best of luck in Dubai.Have fun.:)

Please Roger, your millions of fans and I love you TOO much to read such articles which say that you have started to lose interest in competing.
Please keep fighting for yourself, your place in the rankings, your place in the history and your fans.

I love you so so much Roger, always and for eternity.

Your DIE HARD FAN, Kemna

I know your fans and I cannot ask more of you, but you are the number 2 in the world. It is not like you are number 68. You can do it and you can get more titles and GS. Getting back to number 1 will be difficult, there are a lot of points between Novak and you. But don't worry about that. You just play and fight and win titles and the number 1 will follow itself (LOOK AT SERENA !!!).

I know your backproblems are worse and that you want to spent more time with your family. Don't get me wrong. YOU DESERVE THAT. And you gave us SO MUCH, that from now on we are just happy to see you play as long as it last. BUT ROGER, YOU DESERVE SO MUCH MORE. MORE TITLES AND DEFINITELY MORE GS. You can do it. Please don't lose your fighting spirit. This is not the end for you. You said yourself that you play better tennis now than that you have played when you were dominant. SO PLEASE GO ON.

Hi Roger, I am reading almost everywhere that you somehow lost the interest in smaller tours and that now it is showing that you have less interest in fighting and that it will increase. PLEASE ROGER DON'T DO THAT.
Please find your mojo back and the will to fight. Last year you set yourself goals and you did everything to accomplish that. PLEASE SET YOURSELF FOR THIS YEAR GOALS AGAIN. You have to fight and want to fight for every title. I DON'T WANT YOU TO HAVE ONLY 76 TITLES AND 17 GS.
