Out against Benneteau

15.02.2013 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Roger was shocked by Julien Benneteau in the quarter finals of Rotterdam today, losing to the Frenchman 3-6, 5-7.

Roger did not seem his usual self, battling with ill-timed double faults and a bad rhythm in general. Benneteau secured three service breaks, while dropping just one to clearly lead the match. It was only at 2-4 in the second set that Roger finally scored a break after being able to hold serve. Unfortunately he struggled with his serve again at 5-6 and finally had to admit defeat after too many errors including another double fault.

Next up for Roger are the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, starting on February 25th.

Oh Rogi, not so good tonight, although Benneteau is always dangerous as we know. Looks like this court was playing even slower than last year... I also wondered whether you were feeling quite well? Never mind, only a little tourney - Dubai court suits your game much better so look forward to seeing you there. Love you always, xxxxxxxxx

hat you are an exceptional player no doubt, does not really have to prove anything to anyone, there is also no. Now that something is not right and is indeed notorious, and honestly do not know if it's just the age factor. I think in my humble opinion and insiguinificante, something in her plan did not come out nice. And also do not feel happy. Be well and do not forget my support is unconditional and fanaticism.
Hug.

Sorry you lost, Rog. To be honest, it was not a bad loss. I watched livestream on ESPN3. I noticed you massage your back a few times during the match. I know you are not one to complain, but I hope your back is ok. Your movements seemed to me restricted during the first set, but you gave it your all in second set. Have a safe flight home to you family, and rest well before Dubai. Good luck.

Roger, I love you and will always be your fan, but I have to say you played very poorly tonight. Your serve was simply not there and you had too many UFE on your return game. It seems that resting and practicing more is not really working. Maybe you need more matches to regain your rhythm. Consult with your team and decide what is the best course of action. I will always root for you and I know you will be back! I❤U 😍

rog84 - What a daft remark to make. Roger lost tonight, but it isn't the end of the world - he will soon be back to his winning ways - FACT!
