Out against Benneteau

15.02.2013 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Roger was shocked by Julien Benneteau in the quarter finals of Rotterdam today, losing to the Frenchman 3-6, 5-7.

Roger did not seem his usual self, battling with ill-timed double faults and a bad rhythm in general. Benneteau secured three service breaks, while dropping just one to clearly lead the match. It was only at 2-4 in the second set that Roger finally scored a break after being able to hold serve. Unfortunately he struggled with his serve again at 5-6 and finally had to admit defeat after too many errors including another double fault.

Next up for Roger are the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, starting on February 25th.

Roger: Benneteau got a lift of energy by beating you and reached the finals, you just had an off day. I saw Rafa this week and I think this is the year to capture your second RG, if you play in Monaco where the conditions are the same as in Paris and you play the whole RG Series you will have enough preparation to reach at least the finals. I hope you play Miami to recover the Points lost Here and Playing Newport would be nice, another title on Grass. Always cheering for the best ever.

Just an off day at the office. Learn from the loss and look ahead to the next tournament. As long as you play you will always be the number one player to watch. Good luck in Dubai...

Hey, Roger! I'm sorry that you lost against Benneteau, but you're still the greateast of all time for me and many others and because I saw some evil comments around I must say that some people should talk about how god or bad tennis player you are when they will achieve as many tennis titles as you had, because really, you've done the impossible in tennis, that's why many people calls you "alien Federer" and one of them it's Marat Safin, who is an ex no 1 in tennis .

THOSE OF YOU WHO WANT TO BE RUDE, CAN LEAVE.

IF YOU WANT TO CRITICIZE, BE POLITE AND RESPECTFUL.

OTHERWISE, CUT THE CRAP AND GET OUT AND STAY OUT.

Delpo and Rafael are back and on the way up. Fed is on the way down. Stick with the commercials and promos. Don't practice and you'll just ruin your reputation and legacy. Retire while on the top.

Hi Roger,
Julien Benneteau lost in the final match, I am so happy. I feel great that Juan Martin del Potro won the finals.
