Out against Benneteau

15.02.2013 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Roger was shocked by Julien Benneteau in the quarter finals of Rotterdam today, losing to the Frenchman 3-6, 5-7.

Roger did not seem his usual self, battling with ill-timed double faults and a bad rhythm in general. Benneteau secured three service breaks, while dropping just one to clearly lead the match. It was only at 2-4 in the second set that Roger finally scored a break after being able to hold serve. Unfortunately he struggled with his serve again at 5-6 and finally had to admit defeat after too many errors including another double fault.

Next up for Roger are the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, starting on February 25th.

Hard luck Roger..You knew that he would come out fighting and upset your rhythm, you said it yourself..What surprised me is that you didn't do anything to combat this!Maybe you were trying too much.Anyway let's hope you can pick yourself up,learn from the double faults, low first serve percentages and many unforced errors.Hope that your trip to South Africa goes well and that all your media and sponsor commitments don't take a lot out of you.Now let's win Dubai..let's go Roger let's go.Hopp Schiiz

Dearest Roger,
So sorry you didn't win. But you are human and cannot win everything. I hope you are not too tired or injured. Please take a good care of yourself.
Have a safe and nice trip to South Africa. Enjoy yourself and come back fresh for Dubai.
Always wishing your health and happiness,
Keiko
