Roger rushes into the |next round

Our Champ gave us some worrying times during his first appearance at the Dubai Duty Free Championships today. He lost the first set 5-7 to the Tunisian Malek Jaziri but then went on to win 6-0 and 6-2 in 90 minutes. Roger started really well with his first serves causing Malek a lot of trouble and yet Malek held on to break our Champ for the first set. From then on it was all Roger and he finished the match in fine style with a typical forehand down the line winning 12 of the last 14 games. Again, he is the defending champion at this tournament after defeating Andy Murray last year.

Hi Roger, good luck tonight. You can and will do it. I will be rooting and hoping for you. Please play like the first round match WITHOUT LOSING THE FIRST SET OF COURSE !!! I love you and I keep loving you every minute of the day. And that is not an exaggeration !!! I love and respect you always, no matter what.
Even if you lose (which you won't), I know you will bounce back like you did in 2012.

Good luck for the second-round match. I feel that you will play great tennis at Dubai and reach for the finals. All of your fans will watch you getting the beautiful TROPHY and colourful ballons flying to the sky...

Congrats. on getting thru the tricky first round. Jaziri is a nice guy, I thought it would be nice of you to give him a few games but didn't expect you to gift him the first set, you are so kind Roger :) Loved watching you play and was delighted to see the dancing pink shoelaces again :) Best of luck in your second round ..
