Roger eases through

28.02.2013 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Unfortunately for Davydenko there is not a lot one can say about this match that was over in 54 minutes. Roger was using his tennis racquet like rapier to produce a 6-2,6-2 score line which hardly seems credible for a quarter final match. Yes – Davydenko’s game was littered with mistakes but our champ was in fine form and never let him off the hook. On this form Roger is unbeatable and surely stands a good chance of retaining the championship.

Why do not today's result published?

Roger, I can only say I'm sorry for yet another loss.
Best of luck.

I feel that it is Roger's trophy. No matter who wins, it is still Roger's tournament in Dubai.

I think his goal is an 8th Wimbledon. Roger has said 8 is his lucky number. I do hope so. Even if he wins just another Wimby this year, I think Roger will be happy, and so should we. That would be a Good win.
Today's match was disappointing. Roger should have won it, but Berdy does Hawaii knack of upsetting Roger. After the first set and the amazing way Rogi caught up in the second, I was convinced Roger was going to win today, but it was not to be.

JANETLOVELL Your post below contained foul undeserved language. It is highly offensive to me and most likely other Federer Fans.

To Kemna - I'm sure Roger has a goal this year, he's not the kind of person to just play for the fun of it. We don't know for sure what that goal is but my guess is it's Majors from now on and especially a 2nd RG as well as 8th Wimbledon. Roger is still 2nd best on clay after Rafa so long as Roger is fit which he wasn't for RG last year.

Dear Roger, I'm sad you lost your match against Tomas today but no matter, you had a good time this week and now it's an extra day to spend with the children. Good luck at IW next week! Much love as always to you and your dear family.

BOTING

Oke, I agree with you on one thing, it seems his hunger for winning is not the same as last year. Last year he had a goal. I think the mistake his team and he is making is that they are not having a goal for this year. He did whatever it legally took to fulfill his goal last year. I think he is a guy who needs a specific goal like, Wimby, back at world number 1, Olympic medal. This year his goal is too wide: winning GS.
Maybe this loss will wake him up like it did after USO 2011 loss.

I hope you play for many years to come- which I've hoped you would since the very first day I became your fan. :)
