Out against Berdych

01.03.2013 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Sorry to say that Roger lost in the semi finals of the Dubai Open to Tomas Berdych. In the first set he was strong and positive winning 6-3, then followed a score line  of 6-7(8), 4-6 to see the match finish in favour of Berdych. The tiebreaker in the second set was back & forth with Berdych coming out the eventual winner – at one point our Champ was 5-4 in the tiebreak but could not convert this in to a set win. Berdych then upped his game and went on to win the 3rd set 6-4 helped by some untypical Roger errors. "Pity to lose that one, but Tomas did well to hang in there," Roger said. "Obviously I leave this match with a lot of regrets. "You do all the right things for so long, and then at the end you've got to explain why you didn't hit two shots decent," he said. "So it's disappointing."

Sad to see you lost, hope it is only to make you stronger. Love you. Good luck at IW.

Roger: You played a good tournament, unfortunatelly you could not avenge the lost against berdych and you will loose points again. Since you always play best better the more you play I wish you rethink your position and play all masters 1000 of the season as well as Beijing and Basel but it is always your call. Just remeber that for the one last title to win(Rio 2016) you have to master everyones game. This defeat will bring the best of you. Rise http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GokKUqLcvD8

I didn't feel so disappointed about a roger's match since last ATP finals against Djokovic.

Great match Champ! Its obvious for us to get little disappointed seeing that you holding 3 match points and still losing. But credit to Berdych for going broke in each and every point. But I can see a great respect from him towards you (unlike Wimby 2010, Cincy 2011). Probably you at this age still reaching more & more milestones might have impressed him, I mean that'll impress the heck out of anybody who know tennis. I'm pretty sure that you'll brush this loss aside and move on to Indian Wells.

Rog, I still love you. That is okay. I just like to see you playing as most of us need you to keep doing. You are sunshine for most of us so keep smiling ok?

Practice will do all of us good. Good luck for Indian Wells!

Lots of love for your little girls and Mirka too.

It's better than losing to Djoko in the finals..

It's getting really tiring for us "old people" watching our beloved Roger having to slug it out against Murray/Djokovic/Nadal in the finals and Tsonga/Del Potro/Berdych in the semis.., but we can't help it, so we watch and hope and wish you all the best mister federer

ROGER FOREVER

You went to South Afr for your foundation, you did extremely good work there and it is important that you also make time for that too. You touched and helped so many lived, you will be blessed for that.
Please, no other distractions in your two month break, no more commercials, no nothing else, maybe one week of holiday with Mirka and the twins.
You need to practise and take care of your back if you want to win after May. Because lets face it, even Rafa looks incredible strong and his usual sel
