Roger upset in Madrid

10.05.2013 | Tennis, Starseite 2

Roger suffered a 4-6, 6-1, 2-6 defeat against Kei Nishikori at the Madrid Open.

"Kei played better than I did, so the better guy won today, that's for sure. I'll sit together tonight or tomorrow with the team and discuss what the plan is for the next few days and weeks. So I'm excited for that, because clearly I have no choice but to hit the practice courts," Roger said.

Roger struggled with the conditions in Madrid as breezes and shady patches hit the court. He displayed good tennis during several phases but was not constant enough overall, battling with uncharacteristic errors. After losing the first set, he upped his game to level but lost his serve early in the decider and Nishikori broke for a third time in the match to seal victory.

I heard that during semi-final between Stan and Berdych from one of the commentators.

Why are you so touchy on this? It was just a question.

Stick with one most effective plan to attack opponent's backhand like nadal does and combine this base with your variety attacking plan. you gotta attack but still make no unforce errors and use attack as a defense. you have much more talents than nadal and djoko, with one right effective plan which is the most high percentage of winning, you can easily beat everybody. keep watching Nadal's game and keep thinking how to affectively cook his backhand. it's more about figuring out the way to beat

Its so sad to see you waste your talent in your old days when you still can win more tournaments than nadal and djoko if you play with a right tactic which will be the solid basis that give you solid confidence that never be taken away.

combine Nadal and Djoko style of returning infitely until opponents make a mistake with your beautiful attacking style...attack Nadal's backhand to get chance to attack. improve your backhand! It will make you old Roger once more invinceable because your natural born talent is unmatched for to nadal and djoko's talent.

Roger...I love your beautiful style....We've seen your beautiful style for last 10 years. Now I think It's good to adopt djoko and nadal's style with your style too now for your old day prime... we've seen your beautiful style of tennis for last 10 years so if you try to absorb nadal style and djokovic style to change to win more for making your old days your another prime, It would be refreshing your overall career will look more dynamic.

Roger you are the one who make me watch tennis... I realised tennis is about aggressiveness and perfect game plan and rest is not making unforced errors. keep reminding yourself basic things because basic things are the most important things. keep attacking nadal's backhand. improve your backhand. keep watching nadal's game and observe what you can do to win....dont stop improving....that's what we live for! I know if you didn't lose your muscle from mono, you can easily beat nadal without doing
