Roger cruises through

04.09.2015 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Roger defeated Steve Darcis 6-1, 6-2, 6-1 in the second round of the US Open today.

Roger needed just an hour and 20 minutes to see off the Belgian, displaying a whole variety of shots, including his new serve and half-volley. With his victory in the rather loud night-session, our champ equalled Serena Williams' record for most US Open wins under the lights in Arthur Ashe Stadium. "I've enjoyed myself so many times, so many years. It's wonderful that I can still experience it and play this well. I hope this is not my last one, of course," Roger said.

Our champ will be back on court on saturday when he meets Germany’s Philipp Kohlschreiber (ATP 29).

Dearest Roger,
I was watching your second round in Arthur Ashe Stadium last night. The stadium was fully packed and your match began even before I finally reached my seat. It was RF show again. What wonderful, powerful tennis you displayed! I really enjoyed your match. Only it ended so soon. Tomorrow I am leaving for Boston, so I cannot show up in Arthur Ashe. But I will keep sending my very best of positive energy to you! Thank you and good luck!

Roger great win! Probably what you said is case by case regarding the heat. I wish they would not have asked you that question and you would not have answered it.
Players like you and you always win the player of the year by your teammates.
Like you said every players situation is different. I hate the press but please roger concentrate and up the focus. From now on like YOU said players will be different. Go Roger
