In quarters

17.05.2013 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Our Champ has just come through the 3rd round of the Rome masters in fine style against Gilles Simon 6-1, 6-2 in just over an hour. Simon put up a spirited resistance at 2-4 in the second set that produced an 11 minute game but Roger’s shot-making was in fine form and he won out to finish the match with no further problem. Roger stats showed that he finished up with 75% of first serves in and winning 73% of first serve points – impressive by anybody’s standards.

Next up will be Jerzy Janowicz (ATP 24).

May the force within RF strike a W-I-N-N-E-R 4 this Tourney since he needs it & his fans, like us here, all need it, like COME ON, ROG~!!

U need to take this one after the last disappointing loss.
U need to take this win into FO.
U need to seize the day & the opportunity now that DJOKER got sent home & WOLFMAN-AM hurts his back!

CARPE DIEM, CHAMP~!!

being Roger's fan, we NEVER EVER wanna hear about his retirement WHATSOEVER... if he can RECOVER from his recent loss & triumph, he can continue to play, even @ smaller venue 4 as long as he's healthy, like why not?? perhaps, he can help Switzerland w/ their DAVIS CUP down the line when he no longer could play on fulltime basis, like lots of French players who continue 2 play past their prime. GAME OF TENNIS IS THE GAME OF LIFE & ROGER KNOWS THIS MORE THAN ANYONE~!!

1) JJ being only 22 can only behave like the J-E-R-K that he is till he matures.
2) ROGER ONLY BEATS HIMSELF WHEN HIS ACES LET HIM DOWN, PERIOD!
3) RN is beatable on clay, Roger has served it-n-took it 2 him many times, like who else has a winning record vs. RN on clay, eh?!
4) DEFINITELY, IF ROGER SERVES WELL, HE USUALLY WINS OUTRIGHT; IF HE DOESN'T, IT'S GONNA BE A LONG DAY @ THE OFFICE.
5) ALLEZ, Roger, let's the FED-EX rides all over FO since u can take WN1 back by beatin' whoever~!!

TUNA4444,

Roger knows about the H2H and it bothers him, but not THAT much. He lost heartbroken to Rafa at the SF AO 2012. Yet, look how he crushed Rafa at IW 2012. And how he is crushing Rafa at the WTF even with bagles. He does not like the H2H, but he still plays. So do all the others. Ferrer still plays Rafa, so does Andy, so do all the rest. They know it is impossible to beat him, but it CAN be done.
To retire or stop playing because of the H2H, then we would have no players left to play

Yes, he has a good chance to crush him in the final, that's why I said NOW OR NEVER ROGER !!!

Yes, he is very beatable, but he almost always wins. I said it wrong. I think, if he loses again agains Nadal, that he won't have motivation anymore. Except Wimbledon, of course. But, that is just my opinion. Maybe, he willl play tennis for another 10 years. Who knows.

Re the stats, Roger's first serve stats are phenomenal this week.
