In quarters

17.05.2013 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Our Champ has just come through the 3rd round of the Rome masters in fine style against Gilles Simon 6-1, 6-2 in just over an hour. Simon put up a spirited resistance at 2-4 in the second set that produced an 11 minute game but Roger’s shot-making was in fine form and he won out to finish the match with no further problem. Roger stats showed that he finished up with 75% of first serves in and winning 73% of first serve points – impressive by anybody’s standards.

Next up will be Jerzy Janowicz (ATP 24).

Well Done Super Champ,
We never doubted you for a minute. Just continue as you have been playing and you will make number 1 again, and we will all be much happier. I just wish I was able to watch these incredible matches. What happened to the live ticker?
Bon chance in the next round against Janowicz.
Love always

without a doubt, the most aggravating tennis player is gulbis. when i saw the score in the 1st set at 5-0 against nadal, i had zero faith gulbis would win. he is the "almost" man. he almost beat nadal a time or 2 before. he can never keep it together long enough to actually pull it off. and if he does beat a top 10er, he loses his next match. i know this is of no consequence to anyone on this site, but just wanted to say that somebody. now that i ranted, i feel better.

packed.
Most importantly high% of serves won [many sliced out wide] which indicates to me that hopefully your back is OK.
Wishing you all of the best against Jerzy Janawicz.

Kindest regards

you played some wonderful tennis.
But now the sun is shining brighter than ever in the world of tennis.
Your 1st 2 rounds in Rome --what amazing tennis especially the Simon match--he, Simon, played well BUT you did NOT allow him into the game/s at all.
My goodness you mixed up your game with lethal running F/H's which caused havoc in some of the rallies, nothing wrong with B/H , extraordinary shot making/placements and mind boggling drop shots.Mr Drop Shot has returned.
