In quarters

17.05.2013 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Our Champ has just come through the 3rd round of the Rome masters in fine style against Gilles Simon 6-1, 6-2 in just over an hour. Simon put up a spirited resistance at 2-4 in the second set that produced an 11 minute game but Roger’s shot-making was in fine form and he won out to finish the match with no further problem. Roger stats showed that he finished up with 75% of first serves in and winning 73% of first serve points – impressive by anybody’s standards.

Next up will be Jerzy Janowicz (ATP 24).

That opponent is boring!

I don't think Roger is being outplayed.

Kemna because Jerzy is a better player he is still young yet he can hold with ease (5-4 was a blip) Rog relaxed in this set and it has cost him.

Why isn't Roger coming more to the net? 5-3 for Jerzy.

I have a funny feeling this set is gone, Roger is being outplayed. No I'm not hating by the way :) However I did think Janowicz would win this match and I still think so. (Lets hope Rog proves me wrong)

Sorry I misread the previous post. Yes I am also getting annoyed at that guy.

Neither do I!

I am getting annoyed with that Janowicz and with the three young boys who are rooting for him because they want Roger to lose (one is wearing a Rafa cap).

That was beautiful Roger.
