Roland Garros: the draw

24.05.2013 | Tennis, Starseite 2

The draw for the second Grand Slam of the season, the French Open, is out: Roger will meet a qualifier in the first two rounds. After that, he could play Julien Benneteau (ATP 32) in the following round. A possible quarter-final opponent could either be Gilles Simon (FRA, ATP 17) or Sam Querrey (USA, ATP 20). Our champ could set up a clash with Rafael Nadal (ATP 4) or Novak Djokovic (ATP 1) in the final at Roland Garros.

2-My beloved Roger if I may let go of what no longer is serving you. Embrace the possible trouble, try not to question yourself or to think about the possible outcome in those moments; exchange the feeling of anxiety for the feeling of opportunity, use it to apply your strategies & creative power.

It's ok to make mistakes it's part of the game. Just take it point by point. If you let go of all the internal obstacles & find the stream of freedom things will start to flow.

3-You don't have to be perfect you just have to enjoy the game. Every shot counts and helps you move forward no matter how it came out like. You don't have to please anyone, the fans, the media, the public opinion, the sponsors, whatever. Never mind about anyone else's expectations. Let go of all of that. Throw the pressure to the trash can! All of that won't transcend not really.

4-Go back to the basics, why do you play tennis? Because you love it, because you enjoy it, because it makes you feel free. Because it's a positive challenge and it's fun. Enjoy the essence of the game go back to it. When you do it for yourself first, as a consequence everyone else will be rewarded.

No one is judging you and if they are, they are just projecting, so it has nothing to do with you, it's their own issues, let it be. Focus on the game.

5-Let your heart and your mind rest, don't get into complications, when it comes to the game, don't question too much, maintain an eye of your goal but keep a balance measure when it comes to the extreme desire of success. Try to find balance, let things flow and enjoy the moment for all it is. Go step by step.

6-Focus on your strengths and on positive and constructive thoughts this will give you energy and will help you to place yourself in the moment. Don't self sabotage; always go with the positive affirming pre-shot inner dialog, no matter what's going on. Love yourself and have self assurance. Especially when things aren't going your way. Instead of remembering when things didn't work out, draw your confidence from the times they did and you have a massive arsenal of those.

7-You don't have to push harder and harder to perform your best. Your best is right there in your game, you have it in you, you've done the hard work, just let it flow. If it doesn’t work try something else, it's ok, you can always find the way, not by pushing harder but by focusing and relaxing.

Not everything is in your hands; there are things you can't control and it's ok, it's part of tennis. Just fight for what you want and try your best.

8-Focus on what you want not on what makes you anxious; whatever you focus on becomes your reality.

Everything is going to be ok. Things will work. It's going to be so much fun and exciting. You are going to do great. Everything is going to be just fine.

Take a depth breath & find the stream of joy. You have all my support & my best energy. I'm always on your side. Take care my beautiful treasure.

I love you completely Roger…

This is going to be a great tournament!
