Round three in Paris

31.05.2013 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Our Roger came through the 3rd round with a commanding 6-3, 6-4, 7-5 against Benneteau in 91 minutes today.

Every time the Benneteau raised his game so did our champ – even with a break down in the final set Roger broke back at 4-5 for 5-5 and went on to win the set 7-5. Benneteau gave him his stiffest test so far and there was some delightful touch tennis volleys between the two. In the end Roger’s champion’s approach outclassed his opponent.

He will now meet either Sam Querry or Giles Simon in the next round.

HINDSIGHT, this guy simon (without taking anything away from him) shouldn't give roger a run for his money.... it's incredible at this point that federer is the one who has to keep up with him!

Crazy Roger Fans,

I do not care with your stupid comments. They are useless to me. DO NOT WASTE your time writing against me. Instead, write some words for Roger. Again, look the stupid errors that he is doing. Oh yes, he is getting some good points, I agree. But it does not matter against players like Rafa, Djoko, and Murray. Too much unforced errors. I do not care if he lose, it is part of the game, but doing lots of unforced errors, chances are high that he will lose #3, #,4, #5 and so on.

Roger is going to lose end of. Simon is hitting unreturned serves and winners. That is the issue.

He enjoys playing and obviously his children do take up a lot of his time. Yes the marketing too. Maybe better we expect nothing and just savour the wonderful shots he still produces.

Stop telling him to retire. I read not any of these comments when he was winning the first three matches.

So stop and believe in him.

Even if he loses, no big deal, we will go for Wimby.

But he won't lose now.

Simon has a subpar serve which is why I am so shocked Roger struggles with him, he should be able to break him 75% of the damn time.

oakel123 agree 100%. I've been sayin he needs to step into longer rallies, but he doesn't seem to want to change it now... he needs that so he can aspire to beat nadal or djokovic. Highly doubtful by now
