Round three in Paris

31.05.2013 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Our Roger came through the 3rd round with a commanding 6-3, 6-4, 7-5 against Benneteau in 91 minutes today.

Every time the Benneteau raised his game so did our champ – even with a break down in the final set Roger broke back at 4-5 for 5-5 and went on to win the set 7-5. Benneteau gave him his stiffest test so far and there was some delightful touch tennis volleys between the two. In the end Roger’s champion’s approach outclassed his opponent.

He will now meet either Sam Querry or Giles Simon in the next round.

Oakel, let's not get ahead, but to be realistic, you normally need about 3200 points to qualify, if he wins this, he will already have a little over 2000. And after Roland Garros he plays in Halle, Wimbledon, Cincinnati, Canada, US Open, Shanghai, Paris and Basel, potentially 8750 points. So he should be able to make about 1200.

Finally Roger is back to the game, it seemed as if he was taking a nap in 2nd & 3rd sets.
Come on Roger when this is over take some time to analyze it in order to avoid the same pergormance against Tsonga.
Roger forever $$$

Whether Roger wins or loses why or how can other people comment that he is 'ugly face'. I really do not understand how people can be so unkind at times. I think you are fantastic Roger xx

To ease the tension of heat of the moment debates .... I don't like the potentional look of Roger's 02 outfit ... I hope he makes it there this year has not been to good.

And Cesar, I respect your opinion, I just said that Roger himself wants to continue until 2016. And let's just hope that until then we will have many more matches to watch and to enjoy (even if he's not playing at his best ;)).
