Out against Tsonga

04.06.2013 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Unfortunately Roger lost his quarter final match against Jo Wilfreid Tsonga today 7-5, 6-3, 6-3. Our champ could only bring 58% of points on his first serve which contained no aces. Combined with 34 unforced errors there was only one way this match was going.

“This is obviously a crushing loss," Roger said following a quick shirt change. "I struggled a little bit everywhere. Personally, I'm pretty sad about the match and the way I played. Jo-Willy played great today. He was better than me in all areas . He returned better than I did, served better than I did. I struggled to find my rhythm. I'm just disappointed I couldn't put in a better match. Missing smashes goes hand in hand with missing so many other things," said our champ, who was broken six times during the contest. "Should have never gotten broken (after being up) 4-2 (in the first set). In hindsight now that's obviously a huge game for me, and things didn't go well from then on for me today."

Roger’s next contest is at the Gerry Weber Open in Halle (Germany), starting on the 10th June.

Nadal the cheat won . . . yawn . . . the French wannabe Tsonga wants to prove to his people that he can beat the Fed on clay only to be beaten by the tiny Ferrer. I can't solve this cuz Fed always beats Ferrer anywhere, everywhere on any surface . . . I'm pissed off with Tsonga and/or even the showman Monfils. Nadal is the mafia on clay, rules the court, the umpires, the clay marks, watering of the court, what a selfish beast!

Roger donated 2012 No 1 to Djokovic when (a) Roger chose to play Davis Cup on Netherlands clay and (b) he chose to play 3 events (Shanghai, Basel, WTF) instead of 5 (2010 Fall). Roger was underprepared at Shanghai, sloppy against Wawrinka/Murray, as he spent hours as Player Council president negotiating on prize money for players (see link). Djokovic skipped Davis Cup all year to play 4 events at Beijing, Shanghai, (Valencia possible wildcard), Paris, WTF.

Just saw the schedule at Halle. Roger is playing his first doubles match tomorrow. Let's go Champ! Practice well. Be relentless at Wimbledon, your favorite tournament.

Plus Rosol, Gulbis, Dimitrov, Wawrinka, Isner, Tsonga, Gasquet all have a better chance of beating Nadal on grass, he will meet some of them at Wimbledon for sure.

Nadal's success this year gives Federer the motivation he needs to win again.

Time to RISE LIKE THE PHOENIX, remember every rise of Nadal was followed by an equal rise by Federer, the time has come again to wage war against Mr Ass Pincher. This time you have stronger allies in Djoker and Murray, let's turn the tables on the Spaniard!!!

That's funny about Roger donating to ND. He's been doing a lot of that lately. Maybe that's his new career - tennis philantrophist!
