Halle: the draw

10.06.2013 | Tennis, Starseite 1

To open the grass season, Roger will compete in the Gerry Weber Open in Halle this week.

Seeded as No. 1, Roger either starts against Germany's Cedrik-Marcel Stebe (ATP 161) or a qualifier. On his way to his sixth title in Halle, our champ could then play Jerzy Janowicz (ATP 22), Tommy Haas (ATP 11), Milos Raonic (ATP 15) and finally Richard Gasquet (ATP 9).
To his fans' delight Roger will also compete in the doubles draw together with last year's winner Tommy Haas. They will meet Jürgen Melzer/Philipp Petzschner in the first round.

I think Nadal and Djokovic use a lot better method of playing tennis than Roger in baseline. the difference is Nadal and Djokovic lack much talent than Roger. that's why Roger has better record than them even when their method is better. what this mean is that if Roger implement their methods with Roger's talent, Roger will be able to beat nadal with ease. implemnting their method doesn't mean playing long marathon rallies like them. its because they lack a talent in attacking. Roger doesn't

In 2011 also, I think Roger hasn't won a title till Basel after Doha. That doesn't say anything about Roger's level of play. He can peak at any time... Just wait for the right time...

IVRogerIV/do you agree roger give away too many easy points? i think it's something he can fix to beat nadal. Roger beat Nadal with giving away too many easy points. this means that if he doesn't Roger can beat nadal easily and everytime if he doesn't

Too bad Roger and Haasi's doubles journey has ended so soon. But Roger did play well.
Hopefully they will do it more, but to be honest, I don't know if they were taking it seriously, looked more like to German friends having fun on the court and more on their chairs !!!

also Roger, in the situation you make unnecessary unforced errors and give away free easy points to nadal, use nadal's method of moonballing instead to increase the chance to make nadal make unforced errors or to give you another chance to attack instead.
