Roger with clear win

14.06.2013 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Roger flew into the semis of the Gerry Weber Open in Halle by defeating Mischa Zverev 6-0, 6-0 today.

"It's been a long time since I won here so that title this year has the highest priority for me," Roger said after a mere 39 minutes of play. It is only the second time he has recorded a "double bagel" in his career (his first going back to the Masters Cup in 2005).

Roger will either meet Tommy Haas or Gaël Monfils in the semi-finals.

Wow, talk about a master class! Although the poor Mischa got ripped off, aren't classes supposed to be an hour long? hahaha
Congratulations Roger, and best of luck tomorrow against Tommy. Shame you guys have to play semis against each other this time around. Anyway, go reclaim your trophy! COME ON!

He bageled Nadal and Djokovic after he turned 30 and them being in their prime and in top 2... That's the best part...

I felt sorry for Misha. He sounds a pleasant guy. He certainly seems to be a big Rogi fan and full of respect ! Good for him.
However, I jumped up and down with joy when Rogi bageled Djoker and Nadal. Never have quite got over those moments, never to be forgotten. I did not feel sorry for them. Some of the best 'Rogi moments' I have had and I think ever will have, unless of course, he manages it again! What a thought? What a dream?!! Loved the way Rogi apologised, a real RF moment! The BEST!

Roger, our boy, if you continue to play like this all the hopes and desires are just there, waiting for you. It was an absolutely wonderful match. And nothing, NOTHING, is more beautiful than watch you play on grass. Thank you, Roger. Onwards, our boy, God bless you.
