Roger Federer beats Mikhail Youzhny to win Halle title (BBC Sport)

It is the first time since 2007 that Federer has come back from a set down in the semis and final to triumph at an ATP World Tour event. "I have won a lot in my career but not recently," said world number three Federer, whose last tournament win came in Cincinnati. "I was satisfied with my game in the past 10 months. Maybe people thought I was playing badly but that was not the case. "I was playing well but when it mattered the others were just better. Today it worked well."

Roger Federer comes back against Mikhail Youzhny to win in Halle (The Guardian)

Before beating Mikhail Youzhny for the 15th time in a row to lift his sixth Gerry Weber Open in Halle, Roger Federer said: "Winning tournaments is everything." It was a Bob Paisley-esque evocation to tempt fate and the Swiss delivered. Federer overcame an uncertain start to win 6-7, 6-3, 6-4 in just over two hours and he is in good, although not devastating, shape to defend his title at Wimbledon. Whether or not he can reproduce his German form in London is uncertain because the familiar contenders grouped around the world No3 at the summit of the game are probably playing more consistent high-end tennis.

Federer claims sixth Halle crown (Fox News)

Federer lost to Rafael Nadal in his other final this year last month in Rome. He was a quarterfinal loser to Jo-Wilfried Tsonga last weekend at the French Open, but was able to turn around his season on his favorite surface. Grass has always suited Federer well. Seven of his record 17 Grand Slam titles have come on the famed lawns of Wimbledon, where he will return later this month as defending champion. Federer, who is now 6-2 in title matches in Halle, improved to 121-17 on grass.

Roger Federer ends victory drought (Los Angeles Times)

Roger Federer found the perfect place to end his title drought — a small town in western Germany that has a big tennis stadium and a street named Roger-Federer-Allee leading to it.

Hey Champ, just don't think about falling outside Top 4 at all (its gonna happen anyways). Just focus on Wimbledon and get the trophy... You were doing good till that injury at IW. You were very good at AO, beating Tomic, Raonic, Tsonga before losing a close one to Murray. You had match points in Dubai SF. Reached Rome finals without losing a set... And then won Halle...

Zverev defeated American Jack Sock 6-2 6-2 in the opening Qualifying Rd of Wimbledon. Good comeback from the German after that double bagel from our Champ. He was out there with a positive mindset...

Roger since you got sick by mono, eventhough you dominated Nadal when before you got illness, you haven't been able to beat Nadal, I suggest you to use the allegorical way to beat nadal in this situation after you got weakened by mono. watch Djokovic vs Nadal or Federer Vs Nadal where you win and try to think the specific ways to beat him and what to improve and practice the ways you came up with and try to improve by playing tournaments. you repeat this process until you beat nadal. Roger hope!

Roger, after he got ill from mono virus in 2008, has not been playing like Roger himself. too many errors, too much weaker strokes and no service aces.
