Roger Federer beats Mikhail Youzhny to win Halle title (BBC Sport)

It is the first time since 2007 that Federer has come back from a set down in the semis and final to triumph at an ATP World Tour event. "I have won a lot in my career but not recently," said world number three Federer, whose last tournament win came in Cincinnati. "I was satisfied with my game in the past 10 months. Maybe people thought I was playing badly but that was not the case. "I was playing well but when it mattered the others were just better. Today it worked well."

Roger Federer comes back against Mikhail Youzhny to win in Halle (The Guardian)

Before beating Mikhail Youzhny for the 15th time in a row to lift his sixth Gerry Weber Open in Halle, Roger Federer said: "Winning tournaments is everything." It was a Bob Paisley-esque evocation to tempt fate and the Swiss delivered. Federer overcame an uncertain start to win 6-7, 6-3, 6-4 in just over two hours and he is in good, although not devastating, shape to defend his title at Wimbledon. Whether or not he can reproduce his German form in London is uncertain because the familiar contenders grouped around the world No3 at the summit of the game are probably playing more consistent high-end tennis.

Federer claims sixth Halle crown (Fox News)

Federer lost to Rafael Nadal in his other final this year last month in Rome. He was a quarterfinal loser to Jo-Wilfried Tsonga last weekend at the French Open, but was able to turn around his season on his favorite surface. Grass has always suited Federer well. Seven of his record 17 Grand Slam titles have come on the famed lawns of Wimbledon, where he will return later this month as defending champion. Federer, who is now 6-2 in title matches in Halle, improved to 121-17 on grass.

Roger Federer ends victory drought (Los Angeles Times)

Roger Federer found the perfect place to end his title drought — a small town in western Germany that has a big tennis stadium and a street named Roger-Federer-Allee leading to it.

Very well done, champ!
I strongly believe that you are following a specific plan to be in great form for Wimbledon, like you said in the interview yesterday. Its been a relative long period without a title, but I don't understand why so many people focus on that aspect.
We've seen it in the past: you plan for the long term and some minor goals have to be sacrificed.
I'm really looking forward to Wimbledon, may you take the trophy in your hands again.
Love you always. Go ROGERRRRRRR!!!!!!!

**One more thing, if I may. You love Wimbledon, and want to do things to promote it, but DON'T let it be promoted by having the Scot have his way! No way, no way, no way! Same for other aspirants.... I know you go one point, one match at a time. That's the focus, and what is driving everything is back in your mind and heart.

Thank you, I always like to see what the press says, right or wrong, or in-between. I wouldn't be surprised to see Youzhny in your part of the draw: he had such an openly and widely dislayed gritted teeth expression after each point he won. Happy Father's day: your family is inspiring. You know how to approoach Wimbledon, and you know that preset notions don't mean a thing. Can we have the British media madness toned down? Be well, and I am waiting to see you on the green laws of Wimbledon! Bles

Congrats , champ, you made us happy by beating Haas and Youzhny in this tournament, In the finals you lost the first set due to unforced errors, but you fought well in the 2nd and 3rd set to win the trophy. Please relax for a while with your family, your mind has to relax to build confidence which you need to overcome unforced errors. Go for it, Roger.
