Wimbledon: the draw

22.06.2013 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Roger faces a truly tough challenge for the defense of his Wimbledon crown this year: he could meet Rafael Nadal in the quarter-finals, Andy Murray in the semis and then Novak Djokovic in the final.

Roger will open his quest for an eight title on Monaday against Victor Hanesecu of Romania (ATP 47), against whom he has won all five encounters so far. Sergiy Stakhovsky (ATP 117) or Rogerio Dutra Silva (ATP 102) could follow in round two.
Fabio Fognini (ATP 30) and Nicolas Almagro (ATP 15) would then be possible opponents before an explosive quarter-final against Rafael Nadal - this year's no.5 seed.

Good luck for the whole tournament. On Monday, you should play your magical tennis with an amazing game-plan in order to beat Victor Hanesecu of Romania, against whom you have won all five encounters so far. I will watch your match, for sure. Wimbledon title 2013 will be yours on 07 July 2013.

Roger said: " I'm not here to get to the 3rd round, I'm here to do exceptional stuff and make the latest stages of the tournament ..." This may be a tough draw but it's on Roger's racket...Only Roger knows what he can do and what he wants to do. Halle was his first priority and he breezed through it .He wants Wimby... I have high hope that Roger will walk on Center Court , will embrace the challenge and shine as only he can !
ALLEZ KING OF GRASS , DO IT !!!

No surprise to me, Roger, this draw. But it all goes one at a time. I hope the hoople can be kept down to reasonable levels. You are the champion: stay healthy warm, and let your inner certainty and intuition and stand-your ground quality last from first to a winning match in finals. Watch for balls aimed at you! No matter what anyone says, you are the best grass court player, and the greatest tennis player ever! Godbless, and Nike be with you, too!

Thanks, guys, for your kind words. She had no family but a lot of friends around her. I miss being able to call her at almost any time of the day, because she was mostly at home. We used to watch matches while on the Phone and I recorded matches for her. That is how we got to know each other, here on RF.com. And that is why I wanted to write that little tribute to her here.

The article misses possible semi-finals against murray and a possible final match against Djokovic. i just say this because it looks like this articles doesnt even contemplate roger Beating nadal. Roger is better than Nadal and he can make him suffer in grass independent of the spaniards age and ressiliance.Ropger played ok last years wimbledon for the fuirst week but in the second week he ignated and anhilisted his quarters, semi and finals rivals. Time to repeat champ. mke history again.
