Roger to play Hamburg

03.07.2013 | Tennis, Starseite 2

I am also looking forward to competing in Hamburg this summer. I always did very well at Rothenbaum, played some fantastic matches and celebrated important victories there - great memories!

KEMNA it's okay. In my heart I"m Scottish and italian. mostly the latter! However you may have noted that I'm certainly not an Andy Murray supporter. You either take to someone or you don't!

Roger is the only player that ticks all the right boxes for me, overwhelming talent, humanitourism, looks, style and charm. The hatred shown towards him is just indicative of people's jealousy.

It's quite transparent that the reason that Roger has abruptly decided to compete in these two tournaments is so he can lessen the deficit between him and nadal. In order for him to have a palpable chance of winning the US open he its paramount that he be ranked at least in the top four. I say it's upon us to pray that he wins both titles.

BBC imo stands for Biased Broadcasting Corporation. Despite all the news of Murray, I have forgotten about Wimbledon already, already focused on the Ashes (I hope Aus wins in Eng!) and then Hamburg, where we can watch quality tennis.

@ HARPO---very rightly said. yes that is the way exactly what our dearest IDOL should think like. I hope he reads all these comments.
Does anybody consider that our IDOL really played very badly in Wimbly?
Yes he played very badly againgst Tsonga in RG, but in Wimbly it was just 'not his day'.
At least I'm very sure of his come back & we must support him more than ever.
Well done IDOL for your decision to play in these tournaments. GO GO GO...
All the best...

YUKIMI I did mean what I said. It is not unthinkeble that Andy will win the AO some day. He has been so close and it is a slow surface. When he wins, "England" will make him go after winning RG for the Golden Slam. Even if it means AGAIN skipping a GS to practise for it, with making an "injury" as an excuse.
Andy skipped RG because he was injured, yet had time to tweet about everything, even matches at RG of other players.
No, he does NOT deserve a Golden Slam, unfortunately will get one.

FANCYFREE Thank you for linking the BBC site. How discusting. Was Andy the only player? No Roger, no Rafa, no Novak, no Serena? No offence to you, but your country is discusting when it comes to Andy. He just won his 2nd slam, not his 13th or 18th. Let them have their fun. Now Andy is a Wimby champ, they will get bored with him. No doubt. They used him for a title and then it is over. See what happened at WTF 2012? Suddenly the English crowd remembered their love for Roger and not Andy.

**SHAOCHIA** it's media perspective. he broke the 77 yr curse. it is not just that he won a GS. you did not hear this kind of clamor when he won the US OPEN. the US is not his home tourney. so get used to the celebration. it will go on for a while.

The world media now is overwhelming obsession crazy for Murray with his brilliance performance win over Djoko at wimbledon final, he will be next 100 millions within a year from endorsement & appearance fees, it look likes this one wimbledon winner perfomance even greater than Roger 7 wimbledon winner
