Roger to play Hamburg

03.07.2013 | Tennis, Starseite 2

I am also looking forward to competing in Hamburg this summer. I always did very well at Rothenbaum, played some fantastic matches and celebrated important victories there - great memories!

MARICAR,

I think its very difficult to get to Roger's slam record (also Roger will add a Slam or two to that).. See, after resting his body for 7 months, Nadal won many matches on clay as usual but this year he surprisingly faced stiff challenges in between and he hardly won the FO SF against Djoko. Also IMO, Murray is gonna be dominant for an year or two with Djoko.. And DelPo will win a major or two for sure. Nadal's game is based on movement which is gonna slow down with age...

To Fellow Fans:

Let Murray have his day . . . which is good in a way as it spreads thinly between Nadal and Djokovic so our Roger's record can still be far ahead and unbroken for awhile. The crazy fans of Britain have forgotten that years ago when Murray came out of the scene and the media hyped him as the next king to overcome Perry's record, he's adamant and proud that he's not really a Brit but a true Scot. They overhype him -- he's Scottish!!!

Continued

It won't surprise you surely that we in the UK, don't all consider Andy Murray our hero so perhaps you could lesson your vitriol and spread the good will across the board.

Roger Federer has 17 Grand Slam titles and don't you conveniently forget that.

The text to the BBC -

t has seemed to me and indeed others over the last year that BBC Sport shows disregard for Roger Federer (and others).

I was appalled at the photo that appeared of Federer with five fingers outstretched and grimace on his face. The photo looks as if it's been edited in Photoshop ..... I can imagine you gloating too at his new ranking.

And the photo in question is here - Photoshop eh? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/tennis/23226313

I am about to lodge a complaint to BBC Sport Online about that picture of Roger with his five fingers outstretched on one hand supposedly indicating his ranking ..... Have a look at the tennis home page link and you will see how much coverage Murray is getting but it's not unusual. - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/tennis/

You are a little older than the guys in the top 4 but you are still young (31 is young) you have always relied on technique that's why you are hardly ever injured. Please stay hungry and focused because you have it in you to win majors. You have to work on your serve, be agressive and be convinced that you are still the best because you really are. I hope you have a great preperation so that we will see you win the US Open. Now you aren't even sure of the World tour finals and that is stupid.

I have just read that so far 2013 has been your worst year since 2002. Your winpercentage is 77% and it used to be in the 90s. You only managed to beat one player in the top 10 once and that was Tsonga during the Australian Open. It is a statistic that is worrying. People start talking about your retirement and that you won't win any majors again. I really hope you will read these things as well and get hungrier to defy anyone who claims these things.
