Roger to play Hamburg

03.07.2013 | Tennis, Starseite 2

I am also looking forward to competing in Hamburg this summer. I always did very well at Rothenbaum, played some fantastic matches and celebrated important victories there - great memories!

my Greek fellow thank you for the article. We love Roger in Greece and the fact that the world essay competition was won by a Greek student reffering to Roger Federer, proves that.

Roger completely dominated the Djokovics and Murrays of his generation a.k.a. Safin, Hewitt, Roddick, Ferrero. Those guys were incredible during 2001-2004 (watch some of their GS matches in that timeframe). But once Roger won his 1st GS, he became insanely unstoppable. They tried their best to stop him but couldn't most of the times. The AO 2004 matches can testify that. It took for Nadal to find a way to beat him but only on clay and then since 2008 for other youngsters to catch up on HC too..

Berdych just lost to DeBakker in straights at Bastaad... This guy (and Nadal of course) gets pumped up when he plays Roger but can lose to anybody sometimes... No disrespect to DeBakker.. He's a great player who's out of the tour with injury for almost an year (2011-12), now slowly picking up his form...

Continued.
It would explain the occasions when Rogers timing seems to be out and he gets the wrong side of the line when he he never used to.
Meanwhile I believe in Rogi totally. I am still in hope for the magic 20 GS, but if not, I will just enjoy watching his grace on and off the court for as long as he feels able to play. I would love to see him play an entertainment match either with or against Mansour Bahrami, that would be both amazing for the tricks and entertaining.

I do like that photo of Rogi in his blue and white T-shirt at the beginning. He looks lovely.
I was interested that Pat Cash suggested that Rogers eyes were potentially the cause of some things. It had occurred to me as I have gone through the magic age of 40. At that age one notices ones eyes takes time to focus between far and close distance and back. There must be a time in ones thirties when the eyes start to struggle with that adjustment but so small it will not be visible to the person.

TO WIN 20 GS WILL BE VERY VERY HARD UNLESS FEDERER WANTS TO WORK MUCH MUCH HARDER THAN HE IS DOING RIGHT NOW !!!THAN HE CAN TALKS BUSINESS.

The draw comes out tomorrow. I think main draw play starts Monday or Tuesday. Tomorrow is Qualification rounds...

Yes that's what I have been looking for but so far nothing and the tournament starts tomorrow. However all four players above Roger in ranking aren't there so ..... any match should be a piece of cake! .....
