Quarters in Hamburg

18.07.2013 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Roger easily advanced to the round of the last eight in Hamburg, defeating Czech qualifier Jan Hajek 6-4, 6-3 today.

Roger had some trouble with his game in the beginning, but nevertheless secured the first set 6-4. He continued to raise his game, not allowing a single break-point in the second set, eventually closing out the match with his sixth match point.

He will next play Germany's Florian Mayer (ATP 45).

I am having to go by live score. What is Roger doing? His serve seems to be all over the place. 2 breaks down, only one ace. He has created many breaks but not taken them.

Roger plays break points very badly, when he has one, he tries to be over aggressive and hits net or out, just get the return in play deep and hussle.
